ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Two University of Michigan seniors created an app, Campus SafeRide, that students can use to order a ride directly from their phone or computer, The Michigan Daily reported.
Campus SafeRide was designed in part to reduce wait times by alerting users when buses are en route and arrive at a pick-up stop.
A campus safety department official for the university told the paper that other new initiatives such as the Night Owl bus have been helpful in transporting off-campus students safely, but the SafeRide app will be more focused on students on campus. For the full story, click here.
