Moovit and Wanderu announced a new partnership. The partnership aims to help inter-city travelers plan every step of their journey, providing them with a way to find and book the best deals on long-distance bus and train travel, as well as the ability to find the most convenient public transit options to get to and from the bus or train station, according to Moovit's news release.

“We’re very much looking forward to working with Wanderu to make journey planning easier for millions of US residents and tourists alike,” said Perry Barnett, Moovit’s head of North American partnerships. “This is a great opportunity for organizations such as ours to come together to make transportation in our nation more accessible, usable, and keep travel environmentally friendly and convenient.”

Wanderu users in the U.S. can now discover modes of transportation such as public transit, scooters, bikes, ferry, Uber, or Lyft to get to the station from which their bus or train departs with Moovit’s new web trip planner that has been added to Wanderu’s website. Moovit said its users attempting to plan journeys between U.S. cities, on the other hand, will be directed to Wanderu to find and book a long-distance bus or train to their destination.

“We are very excited to partner with Moovit because that brings us one step closer to Wanderu’s ultimate goal, which is to provide travelers with all the tools and information they need to easily plan every single step of their journey, from the moment they leave the house all the way to their ultimate destination,” said Polina Raygorodskaya, CEO/co-founder of Wanderu. “We believe that using publicly available transportation is crucial to sustainable travel and we are thrilled to work with another brand that holds the same values as Wanderu.”
