Julie D’Orazio is senior VP and national market leader for transit and rail for WSP USA.

Julie D’Orazio, senior VP and national market leader for transit and rail for WSP USA has been elected to the board of directors of the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) as a business member at-large.

D’Orazio has been active within APTA since 2010 and is currently serving on several committees. D’Orazio is focused on three key areas that align with APTA’s mission. These are safety and security, innovative mobility solutions and service network optimization and efficiency.

“Julie’s long and varied experience in transportation will provide the APTA board of directors with valuable insight and guidance and, most importantly, provide broad representation for WSP in this important industry organization,” said Joseph G. Pulicare, president of U.S. transportation and infrastructure for WSP USA.

In her role with WSP, D’Orazio is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the firm’s transit and rail business. This includes increasing the firm’s revenue, enhancing marketing capabilities, and strengthening relationships with clients. She is also responsible for providing strategic and tactical advice to WSP clients on a wide range of transit and rail issues, including project delivery, management and operations.

D’Orazio is a registered professional engineer in New York and currently serves on the board of directors of WTS New York. She has been active in other professional associations including the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York and the American Society of Civil Engineers Metropolitan Section.
