Applications can be submitted either by the operation or the solutions provider and is open to bus operations, ranging from public transit to motorcoach and paratransit to shuttle services. It is also open to passenger rail operators and their supplier partners.

METRO is now accepting submissions for the 2024 Innovative Solution Awards, which will be featured online as well as in the Fall issue of the magazine.

The deadline is May 31.

Are You and Your Partner Innovative?

Are you a bus or passenger rail operator that has recently partnered with a solutions provider within the last year to implement a new innovation at your operation that has helped you save money, run more efficiently, improve safety before or during the pandemic, streamline operations, improved customer satisfaction, or increased ridership? Perhaps you even did something that wasn’t listed that your peers should know about.

Tell us what you did and how it has positively impacted your business.

Applications can be submitted either by the operation or the solutions provider and is open to bus operations, ranging from public transit to motorcoach and paratransit to shuttle services. It is also open to passenger rail operators and their supplier partners.

Mobile, Ala.’s The Wave had recently implemented a full Genfare Automated Fare Collection solution that included Fast Fare Fareboxes, the company’s Mobile Link ticketing application, and Genfare Link software and soon decided to add some of the same capabilities for its paratransit customers.

Winners Announced this Fall

The submissions will be judged by our Advisory Board, with winners recognized later this year.

Last year’s winners included the Dutchess County Public Transit, Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority, Saskatoon Transit, and Preteckt;  Bay Area Rapid Transit District  and ELERTS; Alabama's The Wave and Genfare; and the Toronto Transit Commission, Hatch, and BAE Systems.
