2022 Bringing Renewed Energy

Having already been on the road for a couple of conferences, both folks in the public transit and motorcoach sectors have a lot of optimism the ship is starting to correct itself, and it’s good to see all the energy out on the show floors and in the halls.

With the first quarter of 2022 now behind us, it seems as if everything is finally calming back down to a sense of normalcy — from a COVID standpoint at least.

Having already been on the road for a couple of conferences, both folks in the public transit and motorcoach sectors have a lot of optimism the ship is starting to correct itself, and it’s good to see all the energy out on the show floors and in the halls.

As the year progresses, I am looking forward to seeing more of you out on the road as we all continue to navigate what many have called the most difficult period of our lifetimes.

New year, new team

I should say that we look forward to seeing you out on the road, as it is my great pleasure to announce our new Publisher, George Brennan. After a long career in publishing, George is no stranger to fleet operations, maintenance, or specialty equipment manufacturers thanks to his experience working in the waste and recycling industry. He comes to us having most recently left the arthritis industry, where he helped impact lives for close to 20 years. With all that experience, George is well-versed in the many tools we have available to serve you and is excited to help your businesses, and our industries, grow.

“I thrive on keeping my finger on the pulse of the industry segments I serve and I’m constantly looking for new creative opportunities for the betterment of that industry and the people and companies who rely on our content,” he says. “I am a bit of a geek when it comes to studying and implementing the latest marketing and media delivery tactics so that we can provide resources that engage and educate our audience and help drive awareness and results for our advertisers and marketing partners.”

A graduate of Appalachian State University, George is based in the Atlanta area and has hit the ground running in the several weeks he’s been onboard. Please feel free to reach out to him directly, or we can work together to setup a call or meeting as he continues to better understand the industries we serve.

While I’m at it, I’d also like to give a shout to our new-ish editor Louis Prejean, who has been onboard for about six months now.

Louis is not only new to Bobit, but a new Californian, having moved here from the Louisiana area just this summer. We are excited to have him on the team as he brings much knowledge and energy to the work we do. Please feel free to take the time to reach out to him, either to just say “hi” or to discuss ways we can continue to work closely together.

A bright future

With this new team in place, I am highly optimistic, and you should be too, as we move ahead through the rest of 2022 and beyond. As a reminder, we are here to help you, our industry partners, and are excited about the many possibilities some sense of normalcy will bring for all of us.

Until we see you out on the road, or maybe even on a Teams call, stay safe.
