A Closer Look

This quarter, the participating manufacturers sold 480 new and 78 pre-owned coaches, for a total of 558 motorcoaches. This compares with 407 during the second quarter of 2023.

The increase in sales was led by the private sector buying 59.7% more new vehicles than a year ago. This is a positive sign that the private motorcoach industry is continuing its recovery from the losses during the pandemic, according to the ABAF.

"Our industry is seeing positive momentum as we recover and grow post-pandemic. These gains reflect the essential role motorcoaches play in connecting people with places across the country, whether for business, education, or leisure,” said Fred Ferguson, ABA’s president and CEO. “As we move forward, we remain committed to providing safe, reliable, and sustainable transportation solutions that help bring people together and strengthen the group travel and mobility industries."
