Orlando, Fla.-based Empire Coach Lines recently received three re-powered and refurbished 2006 Van Hool C2045s from ABC Companies.

“With the 2012 style front and rear caps, rear passenger window and renewed interior — from a passenger’s perspective — there’s no difference between these and brand new buses,” said Eddie Serrano, VP for Empire. “The Detroit Diesel/Allison drive train gives us access to quality support from suppliers who have a long-term commitment to our industry. We can count on these coaches to operate economically for many years. That frees us to put our energy into providing first rate customer service.”

Empire started with a single used coach in 2005 and now operates 14 coaches and two transit buses, providing local shuttle and convention services as well as nationwide charter service for the Central Florida market.

The coaches were re-powered and updated at ABC Companies’ Nappanee, Ind., facility. Re-powers can also be completed at the ABC Minnesota and ABC Florida services facilities.

The Nappanee plant first gained national attention in the coach industry when it took on a refurbishing program for Greyhound Lines, renewing hundreds of their coaches.
