Allied Specialty Vehicles names Furman to VP sales post for ASV Bus

Shawn Furman has been named southeast regional VP of sales for ASV Bus. Furman will represent ASV’s commercial, transit and school bus brands and report to John Walsh, vice president of sales and marketing for ASV Bus.

Allied Specialty Vehicles (ASV), a leading manufacturer of motor vehicles for commercial, fire & emergency and recreation markets, announced that Shawn Furman has been named southeast regional VP of sales for ASV Bus. Furman will represent ASV’s commercial, transit and school bus brands and report to John Walsh, vice president of sales and marketing for ASV Bus.

“I am pleased to have Shawn onboard representing ASV Bus in a key U.S. geographic region for us,” Walsh said. “His automotive sales experience will be beneficial as we look to grow our presence and sales in this region for our bus products.”

Furman added, “I am excited about the opportunity to represent ASV’s strong and diverse portfolio of high quality bus products. I look forward to focusing on and responding to the needs of our dealer partners and customers as we expand our role and increase our sales in this region.”

Furman arrives from Mobility Ventures LLC (MV-1) where he has been southeast region sales and operations manager since 2014. Prior to this, he held positions of increasing responsibility at Parts Trader, The Vehicle Production Group and several Midwest automotive dealerships. Furman earned his undergraduate degree from Oakland County Community College in Michigan.

ASV Bus is made up of some of the industry’s leading brands – Champion Bus, Collins Bus, ElDorado National-Kansas, Federal Coach, Goshen Coach and Krystal – that manufacture light- and medium-duty commercial buses for public transit, paratransit, airport, parking, hotel/resort, group tour, assisted living, church and university transportation markets.
