The Routing Company, Stertil-Koni USA, and Cummins recently announced news from their respective companies.
TRC, Swiftly Partner to Improve On-Time Transit Connections
The Routing Company (TRC) and Swiftly have launched a joint approach that improves on-time transit connections.
The partnership leverages the real-time transit feed specification or “GTFS-rt” data usage across more transit modes in TRC’s customer deployments, thereby enabling TRC’s Transit Connect feature to work.
GTFS and GTFS-rt are common standardized formats of data distribution used to provide relevant transit system data to passengers, such as transit schedules and associated geographic information.
"Our partnership with Swiftly is positioned to advance transit accessibility, while providing greater confidence to passengers that they’ll make their connections on time,” said James Cox, CEO of TRC. “Our products are perfectly complementary; not only expanding the reach of critically-needed GTFS data from Swiftly, but leveraging it to supercharge our Transit Connect feature which guarantees on-time onward transit connections for passengers.”
Scott Steinhardt Named President of Stertil-Koni USA

In this position, Steinhardt, who joined Stertil-Koni as VP of Sales in 2022 and was named general manager in 2023, brings more than 28 years of top industry sales, marketing, and distributor management experience to the company.
To date, in his two-year span with Stertil-Koni, Steinhardt has expanded sales into new markets, championed the use of enhanced technologies, broadened and accelerated customer support streams to elevate service, helped advance product development, and worked closely with the Stertil-Koni exclusive distributor network and company employees to further build partnerships, sales, and company branding.

Cummins’ Rocky Mount Engine Plant announces $580M Project
Cummins Inc. announced a $580 million project to drive economic and job growth in the Nash County community.
Cummins has received approval for tax incentives to help move the project forward and the incentives received from the Nash County Commissioners office will support the continued investment within the area.
This strategic investment is set to generate approximately 80 additional new jobs.
As Cummins continues towards its Destination Zero Strategy and its plan to achieve zero emissions across its products, the investment will involve installing new equipment for the future of manufacturing and upgrading the assembly line for next-generation products.
“We are excited to be driving continued growth within Nash County and creating jobs that rely on high caliber technology for the future,” said Steve Pinkston, Cummins Rocky Mount Engine Plant Manager. “Cummins is focused on Destination Zero and getting there as quickly as possible. We need engagement from federal, state, and local governments like Nash County to achieve our goals and we are grateful for their support. When we receive engagement from local partners like this, it helps us move faster toward a more sustainable future.”
