Bytemark and Hopthru have agreed to a partnership wherein Bytemark will provide payment solutions for Hopthru’s current mobile ticketing clients. Hopthru will turn its focus to its fast-growing analytics business.

While Bytemark has live multi-tenant regional apps, this is the first time the company will be offering a direct-to-consumer national app. The partnership with Hopthru is part of Bytemark’s ongoing effort to expand Bytemark Bridge, its Plan, Book & Pay platform.

Participating transit agencies will have the opportunity to make use of Bytemark’s larger fare payments offering, including partner programs, enhanced reporting, hand-held validation, and other add-ons. Longer term plans for the app include rebranding while also adding functionality such as product-based fare capping, retail cash payments, trip planning, and more. Customers will also have the option to purchase tickets and manage their accounts online via a customer web portal.
