EPV Corp., a company with a nearly three-decade history of producing vehicles worldwide, introduced its ECOCoach, a new commuter bus, at the 2014 United Motorcoach Association (UMA) Motorcoach Expo, held from Feb. 16 to 20 in Los Angeles.

The EPV ECOCoach is designed and manufactured in the U.S. and features EPV’s tested aluminum body construction and a stainless steel chassis. The result is a light, strong, resilient next-generation coach, according to the manufacturer.

Fuel economy is engineered into the ECOCoach, with compressed natural gas (CNG) now the standard fuel offering using a Cummins ISL-G engine. A traditional diesel option will be available in Q3 2014 and both engines take advantage of a low curb weight for maximum efficiency. Extensive testing and validation of the chassis and the complete vehicle ensure years of trouble-free service and operation, according to EPV Corp.

“We’re excited to introduce and begin accepting orders for our all-new ECOCoach at this year’s UMA Motorcoach Expo,” said EPV Corp. president Tony Luo. “We encourage everyone to stop by booth number 1443 and discover why we believe our ECOCoach offers the best overall value in the commuter bus market.”

EPV Corp. is the latest generation of a 28-year-old transportation legacy, dedicated to producing vehicles for the public transportation industry in three model ranges: intercity and commuter coaches for CNG or diesel fuel; hybrid electric transit buses employing the Capstone microturbine, and all-electric shuttle buses for sustained operation in urban cores.
