GUELPH, Ontario — Passengers praised a Greyhound bus driver for his professional actions in handling a bomb threat scare that occurred during a trip from Guelph to Toronto, The Record reported. No one was harmed in the incident.
Soon after the bus departed from Guelph, riders reported that a man was overheard talking on a cell phone about blowing up the bus. One passenger alerted the bus driver, who asked the man making the threats to leave the bus. When he refused, the driver made a phone call and asked the passengers to evacuate the bus.
A Greyhound spokesperson confirmed for the news outlet that a passenger on the bus was acting in a disruptive manner and overheard making threatening remarks, and that the driver pulled the bus to a safe location, called the police, who arrived immediately. For the full story, click here.
