San Francisco-based PeerWell, developer of an app, PreHab, that helps patients prepare for and recover from surgery, announced a new partnership with Lyft, to offer safer rides to surgery and postoperative appointments for episodes of care that fall within bundled payments.
"Our partnership with Lyft will provide an easy and seamless way for patients to set up transportation right from the daily checklist they receive that counts them down to surgery," said Manish Shah, CEO of PeerWell.

Through the PeerWell platform, patients will be prompted to prearrange safe, reliable transport to their scheduled surgery enabled by Lyft's rideshare platform. PeerWell will now include transportation scheduling at select hospitals across the country. For the first time, patients getting ready for major surgery can run through PreHab exercises, get doctor-approved nutrition plans and prearrange a safe ride all through their smartphone.
