The companies will collaborate closely to integrate their respective back-end software platforms to offer turnkey solutions that allow public transport operators to seamlessly connect autonomous mobility services with mass transit transportation networks.

“[Bestmile's proven technology will enable us to fully incorporate autonomous first- and last-mile services into the central management tool of public transit providers — the fleet management system,” said Dirk Weißer, head of research for INIT.
As a result, dispatchers in the control center will be able to track all transport services comfortably within one monitoring system, which is the ideal way to efficiently integrate of first- and last-mile services into the core business of public transit agencies.
Together, the companies will develop mobility solutions for driverless vehicle fleets incorporated into traditional transportation systems, including key components required in today’s modern public transport environments such as real-time traveler information systems, planning, or ticketing.
The service is a flexible, reservation-based transit service designed to close the first- and last-mile gaps and connect riders to employment for just $5 per day.
