Fainting dieters delay NYC subways
NEW YORK — An analysis of Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) statistics found that, after track work and signal problems, ill passengers rated as one of the main reasons for subway disruptions between October 2005 and October 2006. Although the nature of passenger illnesses are not documented, MTA officials believe that fainting dieters top the “sick customer” list. For the full story, click here.
More trouble for Fung Wah Bus
FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — Twenty miles into a Boston-to-New-York trip a Fung Wah bus lost two wheels, taking 30 passengers for a ride, yet injuring none. State police officials said that it appeared as if the bolts sheared off the wheels. The incident is the latest in a string of recent problems with the company’s buses.
