Discount bus line agrees to abide by new state restrictions
BOSTON — Following a meeting with federal and state regulators, the owner of the discount Fung Wah Bus agreed to have all of his buses inspected every 90 days and to immediately stop using bus drivers who are not able to read and speak English. The increased restrictions come a week after a Fung Wah coach rolled over while rounding an interstate ramp, injuring 34 passengers. For the full story, click here.
WMATA to develop ‘Don’t Chase the Bus’ campaign
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Washington Metropolitan Area Transportation Authority (WMATA) is developing a safety campaign to warn riders not to chase buses they miss.
