New products abound at BusCon 2001
Nearly 2,000 members of bus industry see newest technology and vehicles at trade show.
Showcasing the newest technology for the bus industry, BusCon 2001 hosted nearly 2,000 participants and more than 120 exhibitors at the Cleveland Convention Center, Sept. 9 to 11. Marketing consultant Dale Bunce delivered the keynote address on the state of the motorcoach industry, discussing market dynamics and emphasizing the importance of marketing and the use of branding to compete in the present economy. Trade show highlights included the latest in vehicles, from full-size motorcoaches and buses, to mid-size and small buses. ABC Bus Inc., Blue Bird Corp., Champion Bus, Cummins Engine Co., ElDorado National, Federal Coach, Ford Motor Company, Glaval Bus Inc., Goshen Coach, Thomas Built Buses, Trolley Enterprises, Inc. and Workhorse Custom Chassis were among the many companies to debut new products.
