Operators select Setra, Sprinter vehicles

S 417 with TopSky, all-new Sprinter shuttle bus on order.

Ambassatours Gray Line of Halifax, Nova Scotia, has purchased its first Setra S 417 with the TopSky feature — a glass roof that runs the length of the motorcoach.

 

This is the fifth Setra S 417 for Ambassatours. In addition to the TopSky feature, the Setra S 417 coach ordered by Ambassatours Gray Line also include 56 seats equipped with auto-retracting footrests, leather headrest inserts, modesty panel trays and standard tray tables. Amenities on the DaimlerChrysler-branded Setra S 417 include a DVD player, five 15-inch monitors positioned throughout the cabin, laptop connection, a refrigerator and a wireless microphone. For the safety and protection of the coach, it comes with comes with rock guard protection and a back-up camera.

Meanwhile, Sacramento, Calif.-based Amador Stage Lines will take delivery of the first all-new 2007 Dodge Sprinter shuttle bus. Delivery of four Sprinters is scheduled for July. The Sprinter was selected for its fuel economy, spacious interior and ease of boarding, according to Amador Stage Lines. The 2007 Dodge Sprinter shuttle bus features a redesigned, extended body.

 

A fully integrated bus, the Sprinter can seat up to 16 passengers in a variety of configurations and options. The new design also features a longer wheelbase, a new V6 diesel engine and a larger passenger entry door.
