San Diego selects Oracle for sustainability reporting
Through the integration with Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP system, North County Transit District expects the new Oracle system to provide it with actionable data to help reduce energy costs, lower greenhouse gas emissions, decrease waste and increase renewable energy generation.
San Diego-based North County Transit District (NCTD) selected Oracle to support its sustainability reporting goals.
To automate its sustainability reporting, NCTD selected Oracle Environmental Accounting and Reporting and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) to replace its manual process for collecting and calculating environmental metrics.
Through the integration with Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP system, NCTD expects the new Oracle system to provide it with actionable data to help reduce energy costs, lower greenhouse gas emissions, decrease waste and increase renewable energy generation.
To meet the requirements of the American Public Transportation Association's Commitment to Sustainability program, NCTD needed a dedicated system that could automate and streamline the collection and analysis of sustainability metrics including greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption.
NCTD is in the process of implementing Oracle Environmental Accounting and Reporting for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne with the help of TeamCain, a Gold level partner in Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN).
A vital part of San Diego’s regional transportation network, NCTD serves more than 12 million passengers annually through a family of transit services, including bus system, commuter rail service, paratransit and light rail.
