UMA holding first business management seminar

Topics include: Building a Business Plan, Your Accountant & You, Basic Business Law, Basic Marketing, Business Ethics, Pricing, and Cash Flow Analysis. All attendees will earn a certificate from the Bus & Motorcoach Academy.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Bus & Motorcoach Academy and the United Motorcoach Association (UMA) have developed a Business Management Seminar to be held Nov. 30 to Dec. 1 at the National Transportation Safety Board's Training Center in Ashburn, Va.

The seminar will be held prior to UMA's popular Safety Management Seminar and will present established curriculum from the Bus & Motorcoach Academy in an in-depth, classroom format. Each year the seminar will focus on a course topic from the Academy's Clarence Cornell School of Business and this year starts at the beginning with Business & Marketing.

Topics include: Building a Business Plan, Your Accountant & You, Basic Business Law, Basic Marketing, Business Ethics, Pricing, and Cash Flow Analysis. All attendees will earn a certificate from the Bus & Motorcoach Academy.

Registration for the seminar opens on Oct. 1 and space is limited. The cost for UMA members is $139; the cost for non-members is $199. A room block has been created at the Marriott Spring Hill Suites Ashburn Dulles North, with rates beginning at $69 per night. For reservations, attendees should call 888/287-9400 by Oct. 30.
