Charlie Guess has been named construction services manager for the West region of WSP USA.
Guess will be based in the firm’s Orange, Calif. office and will oversee the delivery of construction management and engineering and inspection services in Washington, Oregon, Nevada, and California.

Guess has over 30 years of engineering, construction, and design-build management experience in the infrastructure and transportation industry. He has directed the programming and construction of roadways, light rail and high-speed rail projects, rail connections to ports, municipal treatment facilities, commercial building projects, and industrial process facilities.
Prior to joining WSP, Guess was responsible for delivering transportation and infrastructure projects in California with an international consulting firm. He has also served as a program manager with the Orange County Transportation Authority, where he delivered transit, highway, and grade separation projects.
The plan represents an increase of just 1.9% over the current year, and includes investments in new buses, more full-length fare gates, and other enhancements for customers.
The announcement highlights the long-standing partnership between the Class I railroad and the commuter rail system, dating back to Metra's creation in 1983.
