Urban Solar announced that all of its solar-powered LED systems have been approved by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), a global, independent science safety company.

Underwriters Laboratories tests and reviews consumer technology for safety and reliability.

The UL approval list for Urban Solar covers all transit-related lighting, such as solar LEDs for pathways, roadways, parking lots, and general lighting.

"With this effort, UL has validated our industry-leading commercial grade solar powered LED lighting solutions for safety and robustness of design,” said Garnet Luick, Urban Solar’s VP, engineering and operations.
