GILLESPIE, Ill. — The State Journal-Register reports that Cavallo Bus Lines Inc. ceased operations after more than 75 years in business.
The company, which also had outposts in Indianapolis and Springfield, Mo., opened for business in 1942 by transporting workers to a World War II munitions factory. The company eventually grew to include a fleet of 110 coach buses traveling more than five million miles per year to destinations all around the country.
Company officials did not comment on the reasons why operations ceased, according to the State Journal-Register. For the full story, click here.
