The Prevost H3-45

Introduced at the United Motorcoach Association Motorcoach EXPO in January 2023, the H3-45 first reached number one that same year and has led coach sales since the second quarter of 2024, said Prevost officials.

According to the company, the redesigned H3-45 delivers up to 12% greater fuel economy, a nearly 50% reduction in driver-area wind noise, and a next-generation Volvo D13 engine that runs 6% percent cleaner than Environmental Protection Agency standards, alongside improvements to the driver cockpit, passenger entrance, and serviceability.

Prevost has manufactured coaches in Sainte-Claire, Quebec, since 1924 and operates a large, dedicated service network, maintaining 13 Prevost-owned parts and service centers and a fleet of more than 55 mobile service units across the U.S. and Canada, supplemented by more than 160 certified service providers through Volvo Trucks’ North American dealer network.

The company’s “Moved by a North American Icon” positioning in 2026 follows the H3-45, achieving and sustaining the top sales position in the market, said François Tremblay, president of Prevost.

“When we introduced the H3-45, we said we re-engineered all aspects of the coach with the customer in mind,” he said. “Three years later, the sales have validated that work. Our customers’ success proves we got it right.”

Aftermarket Support, Successful Deliveries

Prevost said that its investment in aftermarket support has expanded alongside its sales growth. The company offers 24/7 emergency support through the Prevost Action Service System (PASS). It operates mobile service units that are deployed to customer facilities for routine maintenance, preventive services, and on-site support at major events.

“The H3-45’s market position comes down to the total package,” said Kevin Dawson, VP, commercial operations, at Prevost. “Operators aren’t just buying a coach. They’re buying the fuel savings, the reduced maintenance costs, and the industry's largest service network behind it. The support matters as much as the product, and the numbers reflect that.”

Campbell Bus Lines in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, was among the first operators to take delivery of the redesigned H3-45 in March 2023. The company has since added 40 H3-45 coaches to its fleet through January 2026.

Meanwhile, Georgia Coach Lines in Fayetteville, Georgia, added its first H3-45 in 2023.

By 2025, Prevost delivered four new H3-45 coaches from the 100th Anniversary Edition lineup, bringing the company's Prevost fleet to half of its 12 motorcoaches.

"We are not looking for special treatment. We just want quality, and Prevost delivers," said Clarence E. Cox III, chief operating officer of Georgia Coach Lines. "The product speaks for itself, but it is the people and the service behind it that keep us coming back."
