“We look forward to bringing these innovative technology changes to FAX in order to provide a faster, more convenient, and more reliable service to their customers,” said Ed Baldzicki, VP of sales at Vontas. “With these updates, FAX can make informed decisions with real-time data connections between vehicles, operators, and the back office to keep operations on track whether it's business as usual or not.”

By upgrading its CAD/AVL software, FAX gains enhanced detour management and route tracking, device management, an improved dispatch, and supervisor user experience with text-to-speech and turn-by-turn directions. By using ViewPoint for reporting, FAX can better understand its data by collecting and consolidating fleet data in one place.

The new cellular-based network provides a software-based communications system that ensures a constant flow of information, according to Vontas.

“The agility of this system allows FAX to adopt the latest advancements that drive public engagement and rider satisfaction so that we can be on the forefront of change,” said Sandy Cetti, capital development specialist at FAX. “This upgraded solution connects our operations with our passengers through the integration of on-board and back-office solutions, keeping them up to date and informed during their ride.”
