The last book from industry legend William A. “Bill” Luke, “The Bus Ride of My Life, which is being published posthumously, is now available in limited quantities.
Luke was known by his peers as “the dean of the bus industry,” before his passing in early 2022. He was a World War II veteran of Normandy Beach, entrepreneur, writer, author, publisher, and historian.
Luke, along with his wife Adelene, was an innovative force in the bus transportation industry through his company, Friendship Publications, BusRide Magazine, and the establishment of bus maintenance and bus safety forums critical to the integrity of the industry. He was inducted into the American Bus Transportation Association Hall of Fame in 1998 and has also authored over 15 books about the bus industry.
