Transdev Redecking 2 California Rail Bridges

Transdev’s rail division is redecking two rail bridges as part of Pacific Harbor Line’s (PHL) track rehabilitation project for the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles — key intermodal gateways in the U.S.

The work being performed on the 500-foot single-track Dominguez Bridge and 800-foot double-track Badger Bridge includes replacing 9-by-9-by-12-foot timber ties and 20-foot catwalk ties on both bridge decks.

Work on the bridges is performed during 12-hour windows over a three- to four-week period per bridge, minimizing operational disruptions. Once complete, the upgrades will ensure the long-term durability of the structures.

Pacific Harbor Line connects two Class I railroads, nine intermodal terminals, and numerous carload customers. These tie replacement and redecking upgrades enhance freight efficiency and reliability, reinforcing Transdev’s commitment to long-term rail sustainability.
