Detroit-based Brasco International has been selected as a certified distributor of the Big Belly solar trash compactor for the transit industry.
The Big Belly uses integrated recycling units that provide significant economic and environmental benefits. It is completely solar-powered and automatically and continuously compacts trash, holding five times as much as ordinary receptacles. Compaction reduces trash collection trips up to 80 percent – saving time, money, fuel, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
