Clean Energy Fuels Corp. will design, build and operate a compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station for Fla.’s Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA).
The deal, valued at $8.1 million, will also include facility modifications to accommodate the conversion of JTA’s buses from diesel to CNG.

Construction is scheduled to be completed in late 2015. Once fully-deployed, this fleet is forecasted to consume approximately 1 million DGEs of CNG annually which represents a greenhouse gas reduction of approximately 2,318 metric tons.
JTA anticipates saving approximately $5.7 million over the life of the agreement by switching to natural gas fuel.
