EAO Switch Corp. of Milford, Conn., a global supplier of Human Machine Interface (HMI) Systems and components, is partnering with Schaltbau North America (formerly American Transit Associates), a distributor of electromechanical products for the rail transit industry.

This new alliance blends EAO's expertise in HMI Systems and products for the rail transit industry with Schaltbau's market expertise and penetration, and will expand both companies' market presence by capitalizing on their combined strengths, product offerings and customer bases. EAO and Schaltbau will work together to develop an application-driven approach to develop custom HMI Components and Systems solutions for customers in the rail transit industry.

EAO's existing line of HMI Products and Systems meet transportation safety standards for driver control panels, passenger access and interior alerts. Both products and systems feature a positive tactile feel, vandal-resistant properties and custom options, including homogenous LED illumination with dimming control and engraving. EAO products and systems are compliant with industry standards for shock, vibration, fire and smoke emissions.
