First Transit will provide origin to destination, demand-response paratransit service for people with disabilities in the DuPage County, Ill. service area.
The DuPage County ADA Paratransit service is available to people registered for ADA service. In addition to ADA Paratransit service, First Transit will provide several Non-ADA Paratransit services for Pace in the DuPage County communities.
First Transit also announced it was awarded two contracts in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota.
Already successfully operating Metro Mobility East, First Transit renewed this contract to continue these operations out of Roseville, Minn. The East Zone contract will begin anew August 30, 2015. It is a five-year contract, with an option to renew for one year.
First Transit has also been awarded the new South Zone Met Council project, which will begin operating out of Burnsville, Minn., June 28, 2015. The South Zone contract has a five-year base term, with an option to extend through a sixth year.
