Glaval Bus, a division of Forest River Inc., has developed the Synergy "mini-coach," built on a raised rail Freightliner chassis, with a Cummins ISB 275 hp rear engine.
The first Synergy was exhibited in January at the 2007 United Motorcoach Association expo in New Orleans. The sturdy, nine-inch frame rail construction creates a solid foundation for the conversion that minimizes stress on the coach. Freightliner’s chassis with ZF independent front suspension offers a tight turning radius. The chassis has Neway air suspension and Sachs shocks for improved stability. The Allison Transmission has electronic controls providing smooth shifting during climbs and descents.
