YO!, a new bus line providing safe and convenient service at everyday affordable fares, will launch eight daily round trips between New York and Philadelphia's Chinatown neighborhoods on December 18, just in time for the busy holiday travel season.
The new non-stop service offers on-board amenities, including guaranteed seat, extra legroom with comfortable leather seating, free Wi-Fi and power outlets. One-way tickets are as low as $12 every day and are now on sale at www.yobus.com.
YO! is jointly operated by Greyhound and Peter Pan Bus Lines. The service offers a safe, modern and affordable travel solution for customers in New York and Philadelphia who like the convenience of a Chinatown stop.
"We'd like to thank the Chinatown community for welcoming YO!, which offers a safe and affordable new service for travelers who like the convenience and affordability of Chinatown bus lines," said Dave Leach, president/CEO of Greyhound Lines Inc. "Currently, intercity bus service between Chinatown in New York and Philadelphia is in very high demand, so we are excited to offer customers a service that meets their travel needs, whether for work or visiting family and friends this holiday season."
The name YO! is derived from the pronunciation of the Chinese word that means "to protect." It also serves as a nod to the Philadelphia community, where "yo!" as an enthusiastic greeting was born.
"We are committed to providing a fun and safe travel experience for our customers, and YO! embodies these two values," said Peter Picknelly, chairman/CEO, Peter Pan Bus Lines. "With environmentally friendly buses and the most highly trained, professional drivers in the industry behind the wheel, our customers can sit back and relax on YO!, knowing they'll get to their destination safely, well-rested and on time."
