Masabi, the company bringing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) ticketing and payments to public transport, launched the Justride Validator — a multi-format ticket validation device for buses and trams. Passengers can simply tap a contactless payment card, linked smartcard or mobile device to travel, without needing to purchase a ticket or understand fares.
The Justride Validator supports all major ticketing formats including paper and mobile barcodes, contactless bank cards (cEMV) and smartcards (NFC), as well as bluetooth. Designed from the ground up, it possesses the necessary capabilities to meet the demands of account-based ticketing, even in large cities, all at a price point that for the first time makes next-generation ticketing accessible to transit agencies and operators in towns and cities around the globe, according to the company.
