Bolstering its near-record 135 J4500 coaches purchased over the years, Ridgeland, Miss.-based Cline Tours is adding 16 new MCI J4500 coaches — including 14 2014 models — to expand its fleet to 71 MCI coaches.

The purchase establishes Cline as the operator with the most 2014 J4500s in North America.

“We’re ahead of the curve in many ways,” said Owner John McCommon, who in 1996 acquired Cline and its single MCI coach. “We have a clean, greener fleet to offer our customers and the highest percentage of coaches with passenger seatbelts.”

Cline’s new J4500 coaches, equipped with the latest safety features including three-point passenger seatbelts, Electronic Stability Control, tire pressure monitoring and fire suppression system, are bound for its locations in Southland, Miss. and Birmingham, Ala., along with the company’s recently acquired Callahan Bus Lines’ location in Oxford, Miss.

Additionally, Linwood, Mass.-based Foxy Travel added a 2014 MCI J4500 that was named “Mike and Diane.”

The new J4500 is equipped with a fuel-saving powertrain, featuring the latest generation of Cummins engine, electronic stability control, tire-pressure monitoring, a fire-suppression system, and all the interior style and comfort the model is known for. Foxy additionally opted for 110-volt outlets to accommodate passengers with personal electronics, and the company provides Wi-Fi on an as-needed basis.
