Tuscaloosa (Ala.) Charter Service took delivery of a Motor Coach Industries (MCI) 2014 J4500 coach.

The new J4500, which underwent a design change for 2013, features a taller appearance, curving LED headlights and smooth rear cap, among other enhancements.

The operator’s new J4500 also features a wheelchair lift along with a Cummins engine, electronic stability control, tire-pressure monitoring and a fire-suppression system.

The latest J4500 is the third new coach for the carrier.

Meanwhile, Milton, Vt.-based Premier Coach took delivery of five new Setra S 407s from Motor Coach Industries (MCI) in September.

This delivery represents the first time Premier Coach has bought its Setras from MCI, which acquired North American distribution for the Setra S 407, Setra S 417 and Setra parts last year.

Premier Coach’s new Setra S 407s feature folding tray tables, Wi-Fi and plug-in outlets at all 56 seats, along with a rear window and DuraBrite aluminum wheels. Three of the five coaches are equipped with wheelchair lifts.

Part of the Setra ComfortClass line, the S 407 delivers German engineering and European styling. The model is powered by a clean-diesel Mercedes-Benz Blue Tec engine and features some 16 integrated safety systems including Electronic Stability Program, all-wheel disc brakes, ABA with anti-slip control and Allison retarder.

Premier Coach chose the S 407s primarily to serve its college contracts. The company’s 64-coach fleet includes a total of 45 Setras, including several other S 407s and one of the largest collections of TopClass S 417s in North America. The company also has MCI D4005 and D4505 coaches.
