Megabus expands service to Omaha

[IMAGE]boarding-dd-21-2.jpg[/IMAGE]Omaha, Neb. residents can now travel to Chicago; Des Moines, Iowa; and Iowa City, Iowa, for as low as $1, with Megabus.com announcing it is set to begin daily service to and from Omaha on August 17. Customers can begin booking their tickets starting today.

Megabus.com will offer two daily departures from its arrival and departure location at Crossroads Mall.

"The overwhelming popularity of megabus.com inspired us to expand our service reach again and we are pleased to grow farther west to Omaha," said Dale Moser, president and COO of megabus.com. "As the public continues to search for ways to stretch their dollar, megabus.com will now be able to deliver safe, convenient and affordable travel to Omaha-area residents."

To celebrate this service expansion, megabus.com is offering 1,000 free seats on the Chicago-Omaha route for travel Aug. 17 through Sept. 17. The free seats will be available on megabus.com to and from Omaha.

Megabus.com, a subsidiary of Coach USA, launched in April 2006 and has served more than 10 million travelers. In addition to low fares, megabus.com offers customers environmentally-friendly buses, free Wi-Fi, power outlets and restrooms.
