With new routes added, software improvements became a necessity to meet the extra usage and demand. Using stimulus funds, Nashua Transit System decided that a RouteMatch 6 upgrade would allow the system to take advantage of advanced technologies and a unified fixed-route and demand-response platform to facilitate more accurate, real-time data capture for measurement and business intelligence, and gain greater scheduling flexibility.

With this system in place, Nashua Transit System's schedulers and drivers are now able to monitor vehicles and on-time performance for improved ridership service and implementing future passenger information systems.

RouteMatch 6 has further yielded a boost in schedule optimization. After undergoing training and tweaking the setting changes to RouteMatch's Scheduling Engine, Nashua Transit System is now achieving a 90% or better rate in scheduled trips, which translates to more passengers getting more rides.
