Pittsburgh's Port Authority of Allegheny County appointed Dennis L. Veraldi, Esq. as acting CEO, effective Sept. 13, 2005. Veraldi will replace Paul P. Skoutelas, who resigned to become senior vice president at the international engineering and consulting firm of Parsons Brinckerhoff. Veraldi, CEO of Eckert Seamans Cherin and Mellott LLC, currently serves as the Port Authority's general counsel. He has been involved in all aspects of transit operation, including the construction of major mass transit projects, railroad relocations, procurement requirements and Federal Transit Administration requirements and regulations.
