S.C. operation purchases 43 Blue Bird shuttles
Thirty-six of the units are powered by Cummins ISC 260 diesel engines, and the remaining seven are powered by John Deere 8.1 CNG engines.
The Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority purchased 43 Blue Bird CSRE shuttles to serve in the greater Columbia, S.C. area. The units, purchased to serve Columbia and several smaller area jurisdicitions, feature seating for 39 passengers and are ADA equipped to include two wheelchair positions in each vehicle. The CSREs, which feature Ricon Mirage wheelchair lifts and LED exterior lights, range in lengths from 32 to 40 feet, and are equipped with Ridewell suspension systems.
