PHILADELPHIA — The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) authorized nearly $300 million in vehicle purchases and construction projects, including $26.8 million for five years of Community Transit paratransit services and $17.6 million for 232 paratransit minibuses, The Inquirer reported.
The board also approved a new advertising policy, following a March 11 ruling that SEPTA had to accept a controversial bus ad featuring Hitler because the agency had previously accepted other political and controversial ads on public issues.
