SF State students look to increase bicycle usage

SAN FRANCISCO — Students in the new Bicycle Geographies class at San Francisco State University are exploring ways to increase bike usage at the university, reported StreetsBlog.
Currently, only 9.5% of students use bicycles to get to the university, while 60% use public transportation. Following a survey of students at the university, the classes report recommended new bikeways to make students’ commutes safer, as well as providing more secure and convenient bike parking.
