UMA creates travel resource
For operators able to provide transportation assistance, the UMA has created an on-line listing.
The United Motorcoach Association (UMA) has created a Website to serve as a resource for the motorcoach and travel industry to get stranded travelers home. The site, www.uma.org/help, can be used to:
List the availability of coaches in specific locations on specific dates.
List deadhead coach departures and destination points and dates.
List requests for help in specific locations.
List offers of help in specific areas or cities. Many operators have services that go to various destinations as a one-way trip and will deadhead on the return. The UMA is encouraging operators to assist in whatever way they can. All items will be posted by UMA staff and must include:
Your name and company
Your locations, phone, fax and email
The services you can provide or the assistance you need
The dates and locations of your offer or need
Any other pertinent information For postings, email Danielle Staudt at dstaudt@uma.org or fax the UMA at 703/838-2950.
