EXTON, Pa. — Bus seating and fire protection supplier USSC Group has rebranded and changed its name to United Safety and Survivability Corp. (United Safety) to reflect its expanded offering of safety solutions.

Joe Mirabile, president and CEO of United Safety, announced on Thursday in a news release that the companywide rebranding has been completed.

"Our vision is to build the next generation of safety and survivability technologies and we believe this new brand represents that vision,” Mirabile said. “We are very excited to share our new technologies with our customers."

Formerly known as USSC Group, the company decided to change its name as part of an effort to more closely align with its goal of building the next generation of safety and survivability technologies.

The brand launch includes a new company logo, website, and social media presence. The company's revamped website offers an in-depth look at the new divisional structure and aims to highlight the growing need for safety and survivability products, including a new line of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) materials.

United Safety partnered with The Brownstein Group, a Philadelphia-based branding agency, to complete the transition efforts.

"We partnered with United Safety (USSC) to help them evolve from a national brand to a global one, without changing the corporate initials,” said Marc Brownstein, CEO of The Brownstein Group. “The company is now properly positioned, on multiple communication channels, for the modern world, post-COVID, and ready to further carve out its unique niche in the global safety marketplace and continue its torrid growth."

In March 2019, the company acquired Child Check-Mate System, a patented alarm system that acts as an electronic reminder to school bus drivers to ensure that all students have safely disembarked the vehicle upon the completion of each run.
