New York Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand and Charles E. Schumer said they would co-sponsor motorcoach safety legislation recently reintroduced by Sen. U.S. Sens. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) and Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Texas), while Senator Frank R. Lautenberg (D-NJ) called on the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Secretary Ray LaHood to move forward in implementing safety measures outlined in DOT's Motorcoach Safety Action Plan.
