President Joe Biden visited Cummins Power Generation Facility in Fridley, Minnesota, to discuss the company's continued efforts to produce clean hydrogen.
The new facility is set to be fully operational by mid-2023.
The move took place on Dec. 1, with the first departures leaving their new temporary home on the same day.
The project is a partnership between Pace, Metra, and the City of Harvey.
The 11-acre property was designed to house VIAtrans operations and fleet maintenance.
Located in Lewisville, Texas, the joint facility is an expansion of the DCTA A-train Operations and Maintenance Facility (OMF).
The Clayton County Operations & Maintenance Facility project has received $33 million in federal support.
In January, GreenPower and Gov. Jim Justice announced plans for GreenPower to produce zero-emission, all-electric vehicles in West Virginia.
The facility was programmed to operate, service, and maintain RTA’s entire fleet and serve as the authority’s headquarters.
This opening marks the start of service for the first next-generation coaches provided by New Flyer.
