Megabus expands service in Washington, D.C.

Washington, D.C. residents can now use the intercity bus service to travel to 10 additional cities, including Boston, Pittsburgh and Toronto. To celebrate the expansion, megabus.com is offering 10,000 free seats for travel to and from the Washington, D.C. expansion cities from Dec. 15 through Jan. 15.

Megabus.com, which offers intercity, express bus service with fares from $1, will expand daily service to and from Washington D.C. on Dec. 15. Washington, D.C. residents can now travel to Boston; Buffalo, N.Y.; Charlotte, N.C.; Hampton, Va.; Harrisburg, Penn.; Knoxville, Tenn.; Pittsburgh; Raleigh/Durham, N.C.; Richmond, Va.; and Toronto. With the addition of these cities, megabus.com will now serve 13 cities from its Washington, D.C. hub.

As of Tuesday, customers may begin booking travel at www.megabus.com for Dec. 15 and beyond. Customers are encouraged to book early to secure $1 fares. Fares always start as low as $1 and get higher as the traveling date gets closer.

 

Megabus.com will offer multiple daily departures from its arrival and departure location in the parking lot on H St. NW opposite 10th St. NW.

"As the public continues to search for ways to stretch their dollar, megabus.com will now be able to deliver a greater travel value to the residents of the Washington D.C. area and the surrounding cities."

 

To celebrate this major service expansion, megabus.com is offering 10,000 free seats for travel Dec. 15 through Jan. 15. The free seats will be available on megabus.com departures to and from the 10 Washington, D.C. expansion cities. Customers will need to use the promo code ILUVDC when booking their tickets via www.megabus.com (subject to availability on select dates, routes). 

 

Megabus.com, a subsidiary of Coach USA, launched in April 2006 and has served more than 7 million travelers.  In addition to low fares, megabus.com offers customers environmentally-friendly buses, free Wi-Fi, power outlets and restrooms.
