Koltuv has more than 25 years of transportation project management experience.

“I have long respected Burns’ amazing engineering talents. It is an honor to lead this incredible team,” Koltuv said. “I look forward to collaborating with our clients and partners, advancing next-generation rail technologies and transit system modernization initiatives across the country.”

The former VP of Railroad and Transit, Daren Petroski, announced his retirement plans in late 2022. His retirement was effective Dec. 15.

Petroski spent nearly half of his 32-year engineering career at Burns.

“Daren has had a truly transformative influence on Burns — both in terms of leading us toward significant project accomplishments and cultivating a workplace culture that has fostered innovation and collaboration while harnessing the talents of the next generation of rail engineering leaders,” said John Burns, COO at Burns. “We are tremendously grateful to Daren’s countless contributions and wish him the best during this much-deserved next chapter.”
