Luminator Technology Group (Luminator) announced a partnership with Safety Tech to bring mirrorless driver assistance systems to the Mass Transit Bus market.

Safety Tech specializes in advanced driver assistance systems including embedded vision and image analysis processing. With their Camera Monitor System, bus operators will reduce blind spots, increase awareness by 35%, reduce glares, and eliminate vibration and distortion.

Video Mirrors benefit fleet operators by minimizing driver fatigue and fuel costs, driving a reduction in accidents, and over a 40% reduction in costly repairs.

An additional feature offered is the safety markers that help operators visualize various set distances beside and behind their vehicles.

This solution has been deployed by OEMs and transport authorities and can be supplied for new bus purchases or retrofit installation.

"Luminator is a renowned specialist supporting transit bus manufacturers and operators, will help us pursue the European success of our Camera Monitor System in the U.S. and Canada in addition to Australia, New Zealand, Austria, and Germany, with the common will to increase safety in public transportation," said Benjamin Lepin, Safety Tech managing director.
