The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) announced the launch of Tap & GO, a new feature in its rideRTC app that lets customers buy single-ride fares on all routes.

The Tap & GO feature is for those who plan to take a single trip, riders with flexible travel plans, and visitors using the 24-hour Deuce service on the Strip.

What the New App Feature Offers

The Tap & GO feature allows users to add funds to their mobile account via credit or cash.

Those adding funds using cash can visit these Cash to Mobile locations. After adding funds to their account, users scan their app barcode when boarding the bus, and the appropriate single-ride fare is deducted from their in-app wallet.

Single-ride fares for the Deuce, serving the Strip and downtown Las Vegas, deduct $4 from the in-app wallet balance. Single rides for residential routes deduct $2.

“We are excited to make it even more convenient for residents and visitors to travel throughout our community,” said RTC CEO M.J. Maynard. “With Tap & GO in the rideRTC app, our customers can easily add funds before they travel, making boarding quicker and more convenient when they’re ready to ride.”
